Face
The key here is to keep it simple! Too much layered on will quickly become a Hot Disaster rather than Glow Master.
For a super natural finish, smooth on bareMinerals Complexion Rescue (£28). I wear shade Vanilla, and Buttercream in warmer months. The whipped gel-mousse formula evens out complexion and leaves a lit-from-within luminescence. This stuff won’t dry you out, so it’s perfect for keeping you glowing out in the elements.
For extra bronziness, dot No7’s Skin Illuminator in Bronze (£12.50) along the hollows of your cheeks, the edges of your forehead and along your jawbone with the tip of a sponge. Use the rounded sponge end dampened to bounce the liquid into your skin.
Dab and blend L’Oreal’s Glow Mon Amour in Champagne (£10) on your cheekbones and eyelids for extra shimmer by the pool or at the bar.
Finish with Becca’s “Be A Light” finishing powders (£35). Brush the light shade all over with a large fluffy brush. Take the blurring shade all round the edges of your face to set the No7 and down the nose. Use the bronze shade to hollow out your cheeks and define your jawline. Finally, circle the blush onto your cheeks and across your eyes.
Finally, glide some L’Oreal Paradise Mascara (£12) through your lashes and spread on a nourishing lippie to keep your lips plumped up. For full colour, the Too Faced La Creme lipsticks (£18) are a great creamy option. For a sheer glisten, try L’Oreal’s Colour Riche Shine lipsticks (£9).
Body
With Spring rolling in, arms and legs and various other limbs are beginning to protrude. To avoid looking transparent, if you’re as pale as me, it’s time to bronze up.
First, tan prep! Use Soap&Glory’s Breakfast Scrub(£8) to get your skin silky smooth and keep your tan even. This is the best body scrub ever! It smells like maple syrup pancakes and sticks to your skin, making scrubbing easy peasy.
For a super budget option that can’t be beat on price- grab Garnier’s Summer Body in Deep (£8). It smells like fresh apricot, builds a gradual, natural looking tan and keeps your skin hydrated.
If you need more instant results, Bondi Sands’ Liquid Gold (£15) gives a brown (not orange!), glossy tan that lasts ages. Use a tanning mitt with this one!
Hair
For glowing, golden locks rub a couple of shots of L’Oreal’s Elvive Extraordinary Oil (£6-£10) between your fingers and combs through mid-lengths and ends. This stuff smooths, tames and protects to keep your tresses soft and flexible. There are a few options in this range, but I’ve switched to the coconut one because it smells amazing (quite floral) and is half the price on Amazon!
